Sacred to the memory of Anthony Hopton, Dyer, of Woodhouse Carr, 
who departed this life Feb 1st 1835 in the 70th year of his age.

Also of Esther wife of the above mentioned Anthony Hopton, 
she departed this life May 31st 1836 aged 65 years.

"Sleep on dear parents in your urn, our sighs and tears will not awake you. 
We must stay here until our turn and then with joy we'll overtake you"

Also of Joseph Hopton eldest son of the above who departed this life 
Sept 26th 1868 aged 67 years, 

Also of Sarah wife of the above named Joseph Hopton 
who died Dec 23rd 1874 aged 77 years
