* 1795 Henry Vernor (age 19) recovered his father William Vernor's estate of $300 (60 pounds Sterling) when he came of age. This record is in the Iredell Co., NC court house.
The first eight children of Henry & Christiana were born in Rutherford Co, NC.
From 1798 to 1811, he lived in Bedford Co., TN, six miles south of the court house near Old Britain Presbyterian Church. He and Christiana Enloe had 17 children, six died in infancy and four of the names are not known.
Henry Vernor was baptized, Circa 1810 at Presbyterian Church, Old Britain Meeting House. >1811-1814 - Maury Co., TN, 8 miles east of Columbia. 10th child (Benjamin) was born here. >1814 Marshall Co, TN, 8-10 miles east of Lewisburg where they located near the Old Bethberia Presbyterian Church (also referred to as Old Britain) and School. They stayed there to raise their 11 children James Elisius Vernor was born there ca. 1819. Many relatives are buried at this old church.

1. Christiana ENLOE (April 2, 1770) was the daughter of Anthony Enloe (born August 1731 in Maryland, died 1790).
2.Christian Enole (born abt 1778) was the daughter of Enoch Enloe (born in 1741 in Baltimore, Maryland, died abt 1793).
Anthony and Enoch were brothers and lived (and moved) together during much of their lifetime. Their father was Abraham Enloe who was born in 1705, Baltimore Maryland, died July 1758 in Baltimore(Co), Maryland. (Genforum Jim S.)
