	Buddy's Christmas at Home

Buddy's family has enjoyed a visit to Nana's and Granddaddy's house and now they are arriving back home in time for Christmas.

The best part about a trip is getting home again!	Ahhhh. Home at last! Buddy is so glad to be home, in his favorite place, in front of the fire.

Isn't Christmas exciting?!	Presents start accumulating under the tree.

Hmmmm.... Something smells of catnip, says Buddy.	Oh, boy! I can hardly wait till Christmas!

Molly sits in the chair at the window, watching the snow fall. "I hope Santa can get through this storm tonight."	Buddy wonders how can Santa Paws can come down the chimney if they have a fire going?

I am sure Santa can do anything, so I will just wait here and see how he does it. I hope I don't fall asleep. The fireplace is warm and cozy.	Uh-oh. Buddy has fallen asleep ...

... sound asleep.	Wake up quick, Buddy! Molly hears something on the roof!
	The sound of jingling bells fades into the night. Oh, no! Santa Paws has come and gone, and Buddy and Minnie and Molly have slept through the visit.
Buddy hears it, too!
But look! He has left presents!

Molly has already begun opening her presents!	Molly loves her snacks!

And Minnie has been opening hers. Minnie feels beautiful in her new gold bow.	Buddy can hardly wait to see what Santa Paws brought him. There must be something in here with his name on it.

If I opened yours, Buddy, it's not my fault, Molly says. I'm only two, and I can't read.	Is there nothing for him? Did Santa forget him?

Did Santa leave his present at Nana's?	Maybe we should call Granddaddy to see if Santa left Buddy's present there by mistake.

Oh! Buddy thought. Suppose he hadn't been good enough and Santa hadn't brought him any presents. Had he been a bad cat? Oh, dear.	He had certainly behaved better than Minnie and especially Molly, and they got good presents. Buddy got nothing. He must have been a bad cat. Buddy felt awful.

Buddy, look! cried Molly. There's another present next to the fireplace!	There, safely hidden in the corner of the fireplace, is a large package. Oh, joy! Is it for him?

What does the tag say?	Oh how wonderful! Santa hadn't forgotten him after all!

Oh, boy! Buddy pulls the paper open I wonder what it is!	Hmmmmm........

A bed! Oh, boy!	Santa always knows the perfect present! What a great Christmas! Buddy thought. And then he settled down for a long winter's nap.
