| My daughter Grace was born in 1980. She graduated from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks in May 2004. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree; her major was Linguistics and her minor was Foreign Languages. She had good experiences during her "university" years. She even was able to attend a month of classes in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan in the summer of 2002. Grace would love to travel the world! Grace attended Denali Elementary School for two years and homeschooled for 11 years, earning her High School diploma from the Galena City School's I.D.E.A.program, an Alaska homeschool program, in 1999. (The I.D.E.A. program started in 1997, before that we were on our own!) She was employed by our local newspaper, the Fairbanks Daily News Miner from 2004 to 2010. in 2008 she married Chirag Riasharma, a University of Alaska, Fairbanks, graduate student from Mumbai, India. They got married on my birthday! In july 2012 grace gave birth to a daughter, Eve Lakshmi! I am a proud grandma! |
