SENIOR LANSING/LEAVENWORTH USER'S GROUP

UPDATED JULY 17, 2003

ATTENTION ALL SLLUGERS.

At a meeting July 1, 2003 at the Leavenworth Library, it was unanimously voted to disband the organization until further notice. We wish to thank Bill Russell for the time and hard work it took to put this together. We all enjoyed it and learned from it. You will be notified of any changes.

There is still a lot of good information on these pages so please continue to use the tutorials.

IMPORTANT!

You need to check every E-mail out that announces a virus BEFORE you do anything

(i.e., don't send it to anyone, don't do ANYTHING to your computer until you've checked it out).

Before passing on any dire e-mail warning, check it's validity at:

http://www.snopes.com/

To verify a virus check at:

http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/hoax.html OR

http://vil.mcafee.com/hoax.asp
Here you will see updated lists of hoaxes, current virus alerts,

how to report viruses, and how to remove viruses from your computer.

Here's one we should all look at.

Even if you own a virus-scanning program, we believe you'll learn something from ScamBusters.
