Monhollen Pedigree

Our ancestors crossed the sea at some point to come to the USA. Right now
we still don't know when they did or who exactly was the first Monhollen
to come. What we do know is that the surname is spelled many different
ways on the census at least. This may be because of the people taking the
census just not knowing how to spell it or it could be because our ancestors
spelled the name differently.

The most common two spellings are Monhollen
and Monholland but there are others.  

If you find a mistake on this pedigree please just let me
know by sending me an email with the mistake listed and your source of proof.
Please put Monhollen site in the subject line of your email. For the purpose of
this pedigree I will only use the Monhollen Spelling though you will find these
people listed in the census and indeed other records under different surname spellings.

NOTE: This whole Monhollen family was just about wiped out
by the Scarlet Fever. It took a lot of them.  This is a living page,
which means I will be working on it all the time.  I have a lot more
data to add to it right now.

at the age of 72. Married Mary "Polly" Tillotson place and date unknown.
She was the daughter of William/Elizabeth Tillotson.

Note: As I am looking at the dates there is something wrong with the
dates of birth for Rebecca and Robert Jr. as they are only 8 months apart!
Robert JR. could have come early I suppose and Elizabeth could have
gotten pregnant right away but this doesn't seem too likely to me. Another
thing, we know Robert was insane at least twice and admitted to the assylum
twice so going by the dates of his children's births one time was
probably between 1960 and 1963.

Harrington. He died Dec. 22, 1969 of Pneumonia after being paralyzed
from the waste down for many years. Laura remarried and died Jan. 26, 2000.
James is buried at the Mulberry Cem./Young Cem. on top of the hill across
from the Mulberry church in Whitley Co.

and died of cancer July 11, 2003. T.J. died Oct. 7, 1987 of Lung Cancer
and Edna never remarried. Both are buried at Highland Cem.

children of T.J./Edna: They had 16 children most of which are still living.

5. Garfield Anderson (Flora Anderson, Cyntha Hamblin, Barbara
William/Mary Monhollen) born March 18, 1923. and died Jan. 21, 1999
of a heart attack. Married Nannie Parker a sister of Edna Parker. Had two girls
born out of wedlock with Mae Harrington before his marriage.

Children of Garfield/Nannie: Had three children two boys and one girl all still living.

5. Imogene Anderson (Flora Anderson, Cyntha Hamblin, Barbara
William/Mary Monhollen) born Jan. 25, 1925. Imogene died of pneumonia
in the insane assylum at Boyle Co. Ky. She never married. Died July 2, 1964
and is buried on top of hill across from Mulberry Church in Whitley Co. at the
Mulberry Cem. or Young Cem. as it is better known.

5. Glennis Jack (Jack) Anderson (Flora Anderson, Cyntha Hamblin, Barbara
William/Mary Monhollen) born March 14, 1927. Married Mary Bunch. Jack
died on Dec. 1, 2004 in Phenix Alabama of old age. Buried at the Lakeview
Memorial Gardens in Phenix Alabama.

5. Virgil Pascal (Foot) Anderson (Flora Anderson, Cyntha Hamblin, Barbara
William/Mary Monhollen) born March 4, 1930. Died Feb. 1966 Michigan in
a car wreck. Married Christine Hamblin. Foot served in the army and
was stationed in Germany in the late 40's to early 50's.

Children of Foot/Christine: 2 living sons.

5. Lee Edward (Preacher) Anderson (Flora Anderson, Cyntha Hamblin, Barbara
William/Mary Monhollen) born Jan. 8, 1932. Died April 3, 1983 of Colon Cancer.
Is buried on Mulberry Cem./Young Cem. at top of hill across from Mulberry Church.
Married Charlene Griffith. Earned his nickname as a child of nine in the barn one night
preaching at the other kids while his mom was giving birth to his youngest sister in the
house. He fell through the barn hayloft while he was preaching at them lol.

6. Shonda Anderson born Dec. 5, 1970 shot and killed by her estranged
husband May 23, 1992.

5. Mary Ruby (Ruby) Anderson (Flora Anderson, Cyntha Hamblin, Barbara
William/Mary Monhollen) born March 5, 1934. Ruby died of pneumonia
in the insane assylum at Boyle Co. Ky., like her sister.
She never married. Died July 2, 1964 and is buried on top of hill across
from Mulberry Church in Whitley Co. at the
Mulberry Cem. or Young Cem. as it is better known.

5. Deloris Anderson (Flora Anderson, Cyntha Hamblin, Barbara
William/Mary Monhollen) born Feb. 8, 1936. Married Charles Monhollen
first then Ed Warner. Died Feb. 6, 2005 in Toledo Ohio where she is buried.

Children of Deloris/Charles: 2 living sons, 2 living daughters.

5. Living Female born 1941 married twice once to Roy Sizemore born
March 6, 1940 Ky. and he died Dec. 12, 1976 after they were divorced.
