Jan. 1	Tue	Priest received $112.75 for Christmas collection.
Jan. 22	Tue	P. H. Smith died at 2 a.m.
Jan. 31	Thur	John Manley killed by R.R. collision in Colorado.
Feb. 2	Sat	John Doyle died suddenly.
Feb. 5	Tue	John Doyle was buried.
Feb. 6	Wed	Hired Billy Madden to work today at $12.00 per month
Feb.	Thur	John Manley buried. Attended funeral. Priest failed to celebrate mass on the occasion.
Feb. 24	Sun	John Cain and Sarah Gahagan called to be married.
Feb. 26	Tue	John Cain and Sarah Gahagan were married.
Feb. 27	Wed	Ash Wednesday. Old Mrs. Hanlon was buried.
March 18	Tue	Old Billy Connors quite sick. Went to see him in the night.
March 27	Thur	Jim Connell told about sudden death of old Mrs. Kilcoin. She was taken this morning with a pain in her arm and died at 1 p.m.
March 29	Sat	Mrs. Kilcoin buried today.
March 30	Sun	Jerry Crosby got home from the mines. Heard of Ed Doyle's ? getting hurt.
April 6	Sun	Old grandmother Gallagher sick. She died at 11 � p.m.
April 8	Tue	Old grandmother Gallagher buried.
April 13	Sun	Easter. Priest to keep collections. Paid him 50 cents. A little "shindig" at the Connell's new factory in the evening. Charles Gahagan and Kate McGrane called to be married.
April 15	Tue	Chas G. and Kate McG married.
April 20	Sun	Johnny Gill and Nina Murray called to be married.
April 21	Mon	Went south to Slattery's about school marm in the evening. Johnny Murphy's house was burned at 4 p.m. with all its contents and nothing saved.
April 27	Sun	Johnny Stack and Mary O'Connell were called to be married.
May 8	Thur	Ella Madden here this p.m. Hired her to teach school at $21.00 per month.
May 10	Sat	Pete (K or R)esbke died at 3 p.m.
May 12	Mon	School commenced this morning. Ella Madden teaching.
May 15	Thur	The first night in the new house!
June 7	Sat	John Burke Sr. had barn raising.
June 8	Sun	Phoebe Riley in from Nebraska. Heard of Mrs. Foxes body (?) being found. (Note by Frank Slattery - Lived in N.E. corner of the Town of Auburn. Husband accused of murder. Account in Fond du Lac papers.)
June 11	Wed	Mrs. A. F. Warden was buried.
June 12	Thur	Bridget Carlin, nee Sellars, body brought home this evening. Patsy Gannon hung himself this evening in Greenbush.
June 13	Fri	Bridget Sellars Carlin was buried. Attended funeral. Father Casey read mass.
June 14	Sat	Patsy Gannon buried today.
June 17	Tue	Was called at 2 � a.m. on a special errand after Mrs. Murphy() and was blessed by the birth of a boy baby at 6 a.m. (This must be Jeremiah Murphy's wife, Elizabeth Liffen. She must have been a midwife. - F.S.)
June 24	Tue	Lizzie Duggan was married.
June 29	Sun	Patrick Heraty was baptized by Father Casey. Jas. Connell and Mary Gallagher stood sponsors.
July 7	Mon	School meeting tonight. Attended as clerk. Jerry Crosby elected as clerk for 3 years. Called to see George Crosby and meet Mr. L. Burns. Mike Kearnan shot himself at 10 a.m. in the west of Jackson(?)
July 9	Wed	Old Mrs. Pat Dwyre was buried and went with the funeral as far as Cook's Store in Scott.
July 12	Sat	Big dance at Brogan's new house in the evening.
Aug. 1	Fri	Jim Connell and John Slattery got home from California.
Oct. 3	Fri	Went to Mrs. Clifford's funeral.
Nov. 11	Thur	Bridget McNicholas and James Keyes were married.
Nov. 16	Sun	Seminary collection taken at church. Paid 50 cents.
Dec. 25	Thur	Priest took up collection. I paid $1.00. He received $130.00. John Devine called to be married at Cascade.
Dec. 30	Tue	John Devine and Miss Kate Reilly were married at Cascade. So also, Wm. Dwire and Miss Kate Gahagan. Same time, same place by Reverend Father Casey.
