Jan. 31ThurJohn Manley killed by R.R. collision in Colorado.
Feb. 2SatJohn Doyle died suddenly.
Feb. 5TueJohn Doyle was buried.
Feb. 6WedHired Billy Madden to work today at $12.00 per month
Feb. ThurJohn Manley buried. Attended funeral. Priest failed to celebrate mass on the occasion.
Feb. 24SunJohn Cain and Sarah Gahagan called to be married.
Feb. 26TueJohn Cain and Sarah Gahagan were married.
Feb. 27WedAsh Wednesday. Old Mrs. Hanlon was buried.
March 18TueOld Billy Connors quite sick. Went to see him in the night.
March 27ThurJim Connell told about sudden death of old Mrs. Kilcoin. She was taken this morning with a pain in her arm and died at 1 p.m.
March 29SatMrs. Kilcoin buried today.
March 30SunJerry Crosby got home from the mines. Heard of Ed Doyle's ? getting hurt.
April 6SunOld grandmother Gallagher sick. She died at 11 � p.m.
April 8TueOld grandmother Gallagher buried.
April 13SunEaster. Priest to keep collections. Paid him 50 cents. A little "shindig" at the Connell's new factory in the evening. Charles Gahagan and Kate McGrane called to be married.
April 15TueChas G. and Kate McG married.
April 20SunJohnny Gill and Nina Murray called to be married.
April 21MonWent south to Slattery's about school marm in the evening. Johnny Murphy's house was burned at 4 p.m. with all its contents and nothing saved.
April 27SunJohnny Stack and Mary O'Connell were called to be married.
May 8ThurElla Madden here this p.m. Hired her to teach school at $21.00 per month.
May 10SatPete (K or R)esbke died at 3 p.m.
May 12MonSchool commenced this morning. Ella Madden teaching.
May 15ThurThe first night in the new house!
June 7SatJohn Burke Sr. had barn raising.
June 8SunPhoebe Riley in from Nebraska. Heard of Mrs. Foxes body (?) being found. (Note by Frank Slattery - Lived in N.E. corner of the Town of Auburn. Husband accused of murder. Account in Fond du Lac papers.)
June 11WedMrs. A. F. Warden was buried.
June 12ThurBridget Carlin, nee Sellars, body brought home this evening. Patsy Gannon hung himself this evening in Greenbush.
June 13FriBridget Sellars Carlin was buried. Attended funeral. Father Casey read mass.
June 14SatPatsy Gannon buried today.
June 17TueWas called at 2 � a.m. on a special errand after Mrs. Murphy(*) and was blessed by the birth of a boy baby at 6 a.m. *(This must be Jeremiah Murphy's wife, Elizabeth Liffen. She must have been a midwife. - F.S.)
June 24TueLizzie Duggan was married.
June 29SunPatrick Heraty was baptized by Father Casey. Jas. Connell and Mary Gallagher stood sponsors.
July 7MonSchool meeting tonight. Attended as clerk. Jerry Crosby elected as clerk for 3 years. Called to see George Crosby and meet Mr. L. Burns. Mike Kearnan shot himself at 10 a.m. in the west of Jackson(?)
July 9WedOld Mrs. Pat Dwyre was buried and went with the funeral as far as Cook's Store in Scott.
July 12SatBig dance at Brogan's new house in the evening.
Aug. 1FriJim Connell and John Slattery got home from California.
Oct. 3FriWent to Mrs. Clifford's funeral.
Nov. 11ThurBridget McNicholas and James Keyes were married.
Nov. 16SunSeminary collection taken at church. Paid 50 cents.
Dec. 25ThurPriest took up collection. I paid $1.00. He received $130.00. John Devine called to be married at Cascade.
Dec. 30TueJohn Devine and Miss Kate Reilly were married at Cascade. So also, Wm. Dwire and Miss Kate Gahagan. Same time, same place by Reverend Father Casey.
