Jan. 21SatHeard of John Rodden being killed.
Jan. 22SunJohnny Rodden was buried today, was killed in the pineries by a log rolling on him.
Jan. 23MonMona and self went south to visit sick folks in the evening. Mc, Slat's, and Red's. Bowser's last child buried.
Feb. 6MonGeorge Lindsay had a chopping bee and dance.
Feb. 8WedDance at the priest house in Osceola.
Feb. 9ThurHonora Connell here making clothes.
Feb. 12SunBruders and O'Malley called to be married.
Feb. 26SunCalvey sick.
March 18SatLib Rooney called about teaching school. Went to evening to Don(ohue) and Slattery. Agreed to hire her at $18.00
March 21TueDick McGarry here overnight.
March 25SatHoly Day. Cheese meeting at factory. Devine and Reddington got into a dispute about certain bills which resulted in Reddington buying out Devines share for $320.00.
March 26SunMrs. Scott brought home dead from Iowa to be buried in Mitchell.
March 28TueOld Mrs. Scott, who died at Waterloo, Iowa of consumption and old age on the 25th inst., aged 70, was buried in Mitchell.
March 30ThurJack's James Mangan died in Chicago of small pox.
April 1SatAnn Reddington died at 2 a.m. of measles.
April 2SunWent to Enright's and stayed at wake till 12 at night.
April 3MonAnn Enright, nee Reddington, was buried.
April 5WedMrs. Tom Jordan died at 9 � p.m.
April 7FriSally Jordan was buried.
April 9SunEaster. Wm. Connors here in evening. I paid him $5.00 on account. He leaves tomorrow for Green Bay.
April 10MonWm. Cosgrove and ________ O'Brien were married.
April 13ThurPat Quinn had barn raising.
April 15SatClifford had raising.
April 27ThurMrs. Bowen died. Heard of Chesnier's death.
May 3WedKennedy girl buried at Mitchell.
May 10WedBorn 3 p.m. We were blessed with a boy baby.
May 12FriPeter McGrane (Jr) died at 4 a.m. Lung fever.
May 14SunPeter McGrane and George Couse were buried.
May 18ThurThomas F. Heraty baptized. George and Aggy sponsors.
May 24WedMrs. McGrane buried.
May 30ThurJohn Brogan's house burned down between 11 and 12 o'clock
June 6TueHeard of Murray girl killing dog with a school bell.
June 11SunPaid priest in salary, $5.00, and in church repairs, $1.00.
June 18SunPaid Annie ? O'C 50 cents for church altar.
June 19MonA bee also for hauling lumber for Osceola church.
June 21WedMiss Murray at school. Made a row about the "bell" story.
June 25SunPriest read his explanation paper.
July 23SunWent to see Dick Phalen's house. Was well pleased with it.
July 30SunMasterson of Holland dead.
Aug. 15TueDrove with team and four children to picnic. Stayed till 6 � p.m. Naughton blowed (fighting - F.S.) Grand picnic at Mitchell.
Aug. 16WedMiss C. Murray called.
Aug. 17ThurJohn Murray and sister called.
Aug. 18FriOld McDonnell was drowned. Ellen O'Brien died.
Aug. 19SatHeard of Old McDonnell being drowned at Cascade.
Aug. 24ThurJohn Bowen Jr. visited.
Nov. 5SunHired Miss Coleman at $35.00 per month for 4 months (as teacher)
Nov. 12Sun2 p.m. went south to Slats to see about school marm having sore throat in family.
Nov. 19SunJane Murray, Tom Gibbons and Mary Roltgen called to be married.
Nov. 27MonMrs. Mac died.
Nov. 30ThurMrs. Carlin died at 9 � a.m. Jane Murray, Tom Gibbons, Scannell and Mary Roltgen were married.
Dec. 4MonMary Cannon began to work here.
Dec. 7ThurWhat a cold day - 16 degrees in the morning.
Dec. 10SunMrs. Dave Fixmer and Mrs. Hogan ? died.
Dec. 21ThurMrs. Horrigan was buried.
Dec. 25MonPd. priest salary $2.00, Christmas collection $1.00
Dec. 26TueDance at the corner for Osceola church.
