Jan. 16	Sun	Heard of O'Brien's childrens death.
Jan. 21	Sat	Heard of John Rodden being killed.
Jan. 22	Sun	Johnny Rodden was buried today, was killed in the pineries by a log rolling on him.
Jan. 23	Mon	Mona and self went south to visit sick folks in the evening. Mc, Slat's, and Red's. Bowser's last child buried.
Feb. 6	Mon	George Lindsay had a chopping bee and dance.
Feb. 8	Wed	Dance at the priest house in Osceola.
Feb. 9	Thur	Honora Connell here making clothes.
Feb. 12	Sun	Bruders and O'Malley called to be married.
Feb. 26	Sun	Calvey sick.
March 18	Sat	Lib Rooney called about teaching school. Went to evening to Don(ohue) and Slattery. Agreed to hire her at $18.00
March 21	Tue	Dick McGarry here overnight.
March 25	Sat	Holy Day. Cheese meeting at factory. Devine and Reddington got into a dispute about certain bills which resulted in Reddington buying out Devines share for $320.00.
March 26	Sun	Mrs. Scott brought home dead from Iowa to be buried in Mitchell.
March 28	Tue	Old Mrs. Scott, who died at Waterloo, Iowa of consumption and old age on the 25th inst., aged 70, was buried in Mitchell.
March 30	Thur	Jack's James Mangan died in Chicago of small pox.
April 1	Sat	Ann Reddington died at 2 a.m. of measles.
April 2	Sun	Went to Enright's and stayed at wake till 12 at night.
April 3	Mon	Ann Enright, nee Reddington, was buried.
April 5	Wed	Mrs. Tom Jordan died at 9 � p.m.
April 7	Fri	Sally Jordan was buried.
April 9	Sun	Easter. Wm. Connors here in evening. I paid him $5.00 on account. He leaves tomorrow for Green Bay.
April 10	Mon	Wm. Cosgrove and ________ O'Brien were married.
April 13	Thur	Pat Quinn had barn raising.
April 15	Sat	Clifford had raising.
April 27	Thur	Mrs. Bowen died. Heard of Chesnier's death.
May 3	Wed	Kennedy girl buried at Mitchell.
May 10	Wed	Born 3 p.m. We were blessed with a boy baby.
May 12	Fri	Peter McGrane (Jr) died at 4 a.m. Lung fever.
May 14	Sun	Peter McGrane and George Couse were buried.
May 18	Thur	Thomas F. Heraty baptized. George and Aggy sponsors.
May 24	Wed	Mrs. McGrane buried.
May 30	Thur	John Brogan's house burned down between 11 and 12 o'clock
June 6	Tue	Heard of Murray girl killing dog with a school bell.
June 11	Sun	Paid priest in salary, $5.00, and in church repairs, $1.00.
June 18	Sun	Paid Annie ? O'C 50 cents for church altar.
June 19	Mon	A bee also for hauling lumber for Osceola church.
June 21	Wed	Miss Murray at school. Made a row about the "bell" story.
June 25	Sun	Priest read his explanation paper.
July 23	Sun	Went to see Dick Phalen's house. Was well pleased with it.
July 30	Sun	Masterson of Holland dead.
Aug. 15	Tue	Drove with team and four children to picnic. Stayed till 6 � p.m. Naughton blowed (fighting - F.S.) Grand picnic at Mitchell.
Aug. 16	Wed	Miss C. Murray called.
Aug. 17	Thur	John Murray and sister called.
Aug. 18	Fri	Old McDonnell was drowned. Ellen O'Brien died.
Aug. 19	Sat	Heard of Old McDonnell being drowned at Cascade.
Aug. 24	Thur	John Bowen Jr. visited.
Nov. 5	Sun	Hired Miss Coleman at $35.00 per month for 4 months (as teacher)
Nov. 12	Sun	2 p.m. went south to Slats to see about school marm having sore throat in family.
Nov. 19	Sun	Jane Murray, Tom Gibbons and Mary Roltgen called to be married.
Nov. 27	Mon	Mrs. Mac died.
Nov. 30	Thur	Mrs. Carlin died at 9 � a.m. Jane Murray, Tom Gibbons, Scannell and Mary Roltgen were married.
Dec. 4	Mon	Mary Cannon began to work here.
Dec. 7	Thur	What a cold day - 16 degrees in the morning.
Dec. 10	Sun	Mrs. Dave Fixmer and Mrs. Hogan ? died.
Dec. 21	Thur	Mrs. Horrigan was buried.
Dec. 25	Mon	Pd. priest salary $2.00, Christmas collection $1.00
Dec. 26	Tue	Dance at the corner for Osceola church.
