Biography	Born Porterfield, near Belpre, Ohio 1935 in a farmhouse. Attended one-room school at Porterfield for six years. After high school 1952 I joined the Air Force. In 1964 I moved to San Diego. My husband and I met 1971 in San Francisco and married in 1973. We have lived during our marriage in California, Washington, and Hawaii. We both retired in our mid-40's. We haven't worked since -- with no regrets. We are now living in beautiful Shenandoah Valley, Virginia.

Health	March 2002 I became a "Breast Cancer Survivor." (Now 6 years free of cancer.) I have treatable lymphedema, high blood pressure, and high cholestrol.
MY HEROES	.........................Lance Armstrong.............................. winner of seven consecutive Tour de France titles. His doctors estimated his chances of cancer survival to be 50%. HEROES OF SEPTEMBER 11, 2001. Americans! We've got the Right Stuff! OUR MEN & WOMEN in the Armed Forces. MINERS trapped and all those who helped to save them. (My great-grandfather was killed in a coal-mining explosion 1911.)
