"On this 26th day of July, A. D. one thousand eight hundred and ninety perspnally appeared before me, a Justic of the Peace within and for the county and State aforesaid, Adam Procious, age 47 years, a resident of Procious, county of Clay, State of West Virginia who, being duly sworn according to law, declares that he is the identical Adam Procious who was Enrolled on the 29th day of February, 1864 in Co. B., 78th Regt.

Infantry volunteers in the War of the Rebellion and served at least ninety days, and was Honorably Discharged at Nashville, Tennessee on the 11th day of September, 1865.

That he is partially unable to earn a and support by by reason of rheumatism.

That said disablities are not due to vicious habits, and are to the best of his knowledge and belief permanent.

That he makes this declartion for the purpse of being placed on the pension roll of the United States under the provisions of the Act of June 27, 1890.

He hereby appoints J. B. Cralle & Co., U. S. Pension Attorneys, Cralle Building, 108 C. Street, North West Washington, his true and lawful attorneys to prosecute his claim; and he hereby agrees to allow said attorneys the lawful fee of Ten Dollars for their services when his pention is allowed.

That his Post Office Address is Procious, County of Clay, State of West Virginia.

Declaration of Widow's Pemsion Mary M. Procious on this 25th day of March, A. D. 1895

Mary M. Procious (age 40) states she was married under the name Mary M. Paxton to Adam Procious

Adam Procious had formerly been married and marriage was desolved by the death August 1878 of first wife as stated in the Genral Affidavit by Wm. P. Walker (age 67) a resident of Dismal, in the county of Kanawha and State of West Virginia, whose Post Office is Dismal, and he knew Adam for 24 years.

Names and dates of birth of all the children now living under sixteen years of age of the soldier by herself are as follows:

Daisy Procious, born September 24, 1886

Minnie Dahlia Procious, born January 21, 1889
