SAFELY HOME

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus' love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's Will.

There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth-
You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!

Read My MOMS JOURNAL

My kids gave all their grandparents an empty journal for Christmas in 1997. They wrote in the front...
This book is to write things about you when you were little and special things that happened to you in your life.
Try to write as much as you can. Then send this back to us next Christmas as our present!
Love, The Mach Kids
My Mom wrote only a few pages March 1, 1998 but I will always be greatful for the little insight we will have into her personal memories.

THE ROSE

Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed

Some say love, it is a hunger
An endless aching need
I say love, it is a flower
And you its only seed

It's the heart afraid of breaking
that never learns to dance.
It's the dream afraid of waking
that never takes the chance.

It's the one, who won't be taken
Who cannot seem to give
And the soul afraid of dying,
That never learns to live

When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long
When you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong

Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snow
Lies the seed that with the sun's love
In the spring becomes the rose

A Child's Angel
Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born.
One day the child asked God....
They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?
God replied, Among the many angels, I chose one for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you.

But tell me, here in Heaven, I don't do anything else but sing and smile,that's enough for me to be happy.
Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you every day. And you will feel your angel's love and be happy.

And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me, if I don't know the language that men talk?
Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear,
and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.

And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?
Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.

I've heard that on earth there are bad men. Who will protect me?
Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.

But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.
Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way for you to come back to me,
even though I will always be next to you.

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from earth could already be heard,
and the child in a hurry asked softly...
Oh God, if I am about to leave now, please tell me my angel's name.

Your angel's name is of no importance, you will call your angel... Mommy
