Below left is the family of Albert Edward Lines and Mary Ellen Davey. The photo on the right is the family of John Lines and Maria Nash, taken in South Australia and includes Albert Edward Lines. John Lines and his family were early members of the Salvation Army in South Australia.

All of the children of John Lines and Maria Nash other than Ellen Amy and Fanny were born in South Australia.

John Lines born Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire, February 25th, 1832 to parents:

George Lines born sometime between 1795  & 1800 in   Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire  and Ann Dickerson (Dickinson) baptised (1801) Kimpton Hertfordshire. George Lines and Ann Dickerson were married in Wheathampstead,  February  16th,  1819.   George Lines signed his name and Ann signed  with an X.  Witnesses to marriage John Hibton and Elizabeth Dickerson,  ceremony performed by Joseph Doutonentry NO 66 sighted by Gay O'Neill (2002) in Hertford research library (HALS)  when perusing the Wheathampstead  microfilm of Parish Records. 

Children of George  and Ann  Lines are:

George died 23 January 1880 in the Union Workhouse, Barnet, Hertfordshire stated age 80 years.
