October 11, 2003, a most wonderful thing has happened. Don Warf descendent of John Hood, Lorenzo's father, drove 3 hours to the Laurel County Courthouse for me.

Hello Sharlee, Well this might be the best e-mail you've gotten in a long time. I'm at my brother's home in KY., and on my way down yesterday I stopped in Laurel County court house and got you a copy of Lorenzo D. Hood and Emily Adams marriage bond.
Now as a plus to that there was a permission slip from her parents to marry. They are listed as John Adams and wife Elizabeth. Good find for you !!!!! A Charles Adams was listed as witness.
Also in the registery book was listed a John B. Adams and wife Rosa Wiggins which I got a copy of. Doesn't say who his parents were but I suspect John also.
Also copied stuff on John Hood and Elizabeth Jennings Hood.
Also on the registery page was a record for Noel or Joel Adams (I don't have that in front of me right now) he is probably a brother also???? I didn't see that until after I left the court house so I don't have a copy of that record. Send me your address and I'll mail all this to you.
