WOODSIDE CEMETERY
The Woodside Cemetery is located on North FM Rd. 17, approximately 1/2 mile north of US Hwy. 80 in Grand Saline. The oldest grave found by this writer bears a year of death of 1848. This cemetery is the final resting place for many war veterans from the Civil War to the Viet Nam War, several of whom gave their lives for their country. Woodside Cemetery is also the final resting place of Wallace Payne (1918-1986), a Mayflower Descendant.
