Heyburn is a small town with a current population of 2,899.  It is located along the Snake River in Minidoka County.  This town was orginally named "Riverton".  However, during that era, there were so many towns named "Riverton" the name was changed to its current day "Heyburn" after Senator Heyburn.  

Other cemeteries in Minidoka County include the Mar Cemetery (Rupert - Minidoka County Seat) and the Paul Cemetery (Paul).   These cemeteries are maintained by a "Cemetery District" and not their respective cities.
