EMIL HOLME

HOLME - Emil Holme, age 50 of 662 Clark St., died at a local hospital on Sunday, May 2, 1948. He was born Sept. 17, 1897 at Hamley Falls, Minn. He married Evelyn Vollmers in Clear Lake, South Dakota on June 7, 1919. He was employed as chief clerk of the Oregon Electric Railroad. He was a resident of Eugene for the past 7 years, a former resident of Astoria, Salem, Albany and Portland. Veteran of World War I, servcing with the United States Marines. Besides his wife, survived by twin sons, LeRoy and Leland; one daughter, Barbara, all of Eugene; two sisters, Louise Waite of Portland and Inga Olson of Bothel, Wash. The funeral service will take place at the Poole-Larsen Chapel on Tuesday, May 4, at 2 p.m. Rev. Hugh McCallum will officiate with interment in the West Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

GUSTAV MARTIN HOLME

Gustav Holme, aged 43 years, died late yesterday afternoon at the family home, 114 West 31st street, after several months illness.  The family has lived in Vancouver the last six years coming here from Minnesota.  Mr. Holme has been a road master for the Spokane, Portland and Seattle railroad at the Astoria branch.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church of this city, Florence lodge No. 216, F. and A. M., of Wood Lake, Minn., Consistory No. 6, Scottish Rites of Tacoma, and Modern Woodmen of America of Hanley Fall, Minn.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Knapp mortuary chapel.  Rev. Luther B. Deck will officiate.  Interment will be in Park Hill cemetery.  The services at the grave will be in charge of the Masons of Vancouver.

The surviving relative are his widow, Mrs. Ingelborg Holme, four daughters  Hulda, Adina, Edna, Marie, and three sons, Irving, Gerhard and Donald, all at home, five brothers, Magmis and Carl of Portland, Ore., Theodore of St. Helens, Ore., Edward E. of Minnesota and Lars of North Dakota, and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Simonson of Minnesota, Mrs. E. Olson of Montana.

INGEBORG HOLME

Ingeborg Holme, 82, who had lived in Vancouver for the past 48 years, died at a Vancouver nursing home Thursday.

Mrs. Holme was born in Bergen, Norway, March 10, 1883, and came to the United States at the age of 19. She settled in Hanley Falls, Minn., until moving to Vancouver in 1917. She had resided at 3605 Y St. prior to moving to the nursing home.

A member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Vancouver, she also was an honorary member of Columbia Lodge No. 58 of the Sons of Norway.

Three sons, Ervin Holme, Yakima; Gerhart Holme, Seattle; and Donald Holme, Vancouver; and four daughters, Mrs. Gus Henkle, Okanogan, Wash.; Mrs. George Hilstrom, Castro Valley, Calif.; Mrs. Delbert Ekenberg, Berkeley, Calif.; and Mrs. Warren Wilson, Barstow, Calif., survived their mother. Also surviving are brothers, Sigfred Kvinge, Stavanger, Norway; Melvin Kvinge, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and sisters, Mrs. Aagot Kvingedal, Bergen, Norway, and Mrs. Anna Soltvedt, Minneapolis, Minn. Eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Harald Sigmar officiating. Interment will follow at Park Hill Cemetery. Knapp-Gunderson Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Contributions may be made to the memorial fund of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in honor of Mrs. Holme.

MAGNUS HOLME

Carpenter Victim Of Heart Attack
Vancouver Man Dies Here While at Work

Magnus Holme, 50, railroad bridge carpenter from Vancouver, Wash., died of a heart attack at 4:05 o'clock yesterday afternoon while working with three other S. P. & S. employes at the new stockyards. Ailing recently, Mr. Holme had gone back to work Monday. While carrying a ladder Friday, he collapsed and told Clark A. Runyan, Portland, the first to reach him, that he was "awfully sick." Medical aid was summoned immediately, but before it could arrive the stricken man had died. O. H. Parker and Frank Roadstrom, both of Portland, agreed with Runyan that death came within a few minutes of the attack.

Mrs. Holme, as well as the men who were present at the stockyards when Mr. Holme was taken ill, was a witness this morning when District Attorney Bert C. Boylan conducted an inquiry into the circumstances of death.

Funeral services are to be held at Vancouver, with shipment to be made to that city from the Niswonger & Winslow funeral home this evening.

HOLME--Magnus, 50, of 317 W. Forty-first st., died at Bend, Ore., Friday afternoon. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ida M. Holme; three brothers, Lars Holme, North Dakota, Carl Holme, Washtucna, Wash., and Emil Holme, Eugene, Ore.; and two sisters, Mr. Frank Waite, Portland, and Mrs. Inga Olsen, Bothel, Wash. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Knapp's Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Kunzman officiating. Interment will be in the Veterans' plot of the Lincoln Memorial cemetery at Portland.

OLE O. HOLME

Ole O. Holme, 70, died early today at his home, 114 West Thrity-first street, following a lingering illness of several years.  He had been bedfast for the last three months before his death.

He was born in Norway, May 13, 1857, and came to the United States in 1892, settling at that time at Wood Lake, Minn., in 1923 the family moved from Minnesota to Vancouver where they have since lived.
Mr. Holme was a member of the Norwegian Lutheran church.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Ingrid Holme, six sons, Edward Holme, Appleton, Minn., Lars Holme, Breeman, N. D., Carl Holme, Portland, Magnus Holme, Vancouver, Ted Holme, Albany, Ore., two daughters, Mrs. E. Olson, North Dakota, and Mrs. Louise Simonson, at home, 19 grandchildren, and two sisters living in Norway.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at the Knapp Funeral parlors.  Rev. Luther B. Deck will officiate and interment will be in Park Hill cemetery.

Holme, Robert R. age 98, of Minnetonka, passed away May 20, 2013. Preceded in death by wife, June and brothers, Don, Cliff, and Joe. Survived by children, Jennie (Greg) Buttenhoff, Vern (Maria) Giron-Holme, Fran Holme, Karla Holme (Tim Bombaci), Karen Holme, Sally (Sam) Moe, Robert (Nancy) Holme; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Robert was a WWII veteran of the United States Army. He loved to entertain people with his music. THEODORE (TED) HOLME

Last Rites Held For Ted Holme
WASHTUCNA - Funeral services for Ted Holme, 45-year-old railroad employee who was killed Sunday in an auto accident, were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Vancouver, Wash. Interment was in the Lincoln Memorial park, Portland.

Mr. Holme was killed when the auto he was driving skidded in loose gravel on the Washtucna-Kahlotus highway and turned over several times, pinning him underneath. He was taken to Washtucna by a passing motorist and put on the morning train to be taken to the Pasco hospital but died on the train before it reached Pasco.

Paddy Beard, ranch worker who was riding with Mr. Holme, was only slightly injured. Herbert Laken, a third passenger, escaped injury.

Mr. Holme had been section foreman for the S. P. & S. railroad here for several years. He was widely known for his generosity and his cheerful disposition to accommodate friends and acquaintances. He was born in Norway and came to this country with his parents when he was a child. He was a veteran of the World War.

Mr. Holme is survived by five brothers, Carl of Washtucna, Magnus of Vancouver, Earl of Albany, Ore., and two in the east. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. J. F. Waite of Portland, and Mrs. E. Olson of Fortuna, N.D.

INGA OLSON

Inga H. Olson
Mrs. Inga Holme Olson, 85, 10909 N. E. 185th Ave., Everett, died Sept. 10 in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Olson was born Dec. 18, 1884, in Bergen, Norway. She had been in the United States since 1891 and had lived in the Everett area since 1937.

She leaves two sons, Melvin and Marrold, both of Bothell; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, in the First Baptist Church of Everett 1616 Pacific Ave. Private interment will be at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park with arrangements under the direction of Purdy and Walters Funeral Home.

Marie R. Olson, passed away April 23, 1997 in Seattle.

She was a life time resident of the Kennard Homestead in Bothell, Wash. She loved cooking, swimming and giving neighbors and family members a helping hand.

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Marrold "Ole"; 3 sons and 2 daughters; 20 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, 1 sister, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be 9:00 to 1:00 Monday.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 28, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Chapel, Lynnwood.

MARROLD H. OLSON

Marrold "Ole" H. Olson, age 76, of Bothell, died September 16, 1997.

He was born January 28, 1921 in Divide County, North Dakota. Ole lived in the Bothell area for over 60 years. He retired as a truckdriver from PGL after 30 years.

He is survived by 3 sons and 2 daughters; 20 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie in April; three brothers, Orion, Melvin and Roy.

Visitation will be Friday, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Funeral service will be Saturday, September 20, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hill, Lynnwood.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northwest Hospice.

Mary L. Olson, 63, of Everett, died March 3, 1985, in Edmonds.

She was born Nov. 17, 1921, in Shields, N. D.

She leaves her husband, Melvin; one daughter of Lynnwood; a sister, of Kirkland; two granddaughters, and one great-grandson.

Melvin T. Olson, 67 of Everett, died July 29, 1985 in Everett.

He was born March 14, 1918, in Fortuna, N. D. He retired from North Shore School District as warehouse supervisor.

He leaves his daughter of Lynnwood; brother, Marrold Olson of Bothell; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in March of 1985.

Funeral services will be held, 1 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at Purdy and Walters at Floral Hills, Lynnwood.

Roy David Olson
Roy David Olson, 40, died at his home at Rt. 1 Bothell Sunday following a brief illness. Mr. Olson was born Jan. 9, 1914, at Fortuna, N. D., and had lived in this area for 18 years. He was a carpenter by trade. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mildred Olson of Rt. 1 Bothell; two sons, Myron and Dean Olson at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elias Olson of Rt. 1 Bothell; and three brothers, Melvin T. Olson of Rt. 1 Bothell, Marrold H. Olson of Montlake Terrace, and Orien O. Olson of Westby, Mont. Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the funeral home of Purdy and Walters. The Rev. Melvin Duwalt of Silver Lake Union Church will officiate. Burial will be in a local cemetery.
