Southwest Missouri State Teachers College was where the Springfield, Missouri College Detachment was and where Robert attended AAF Cadet Classes.Within a campus covering forty acres, this college is located in the southeastern section of Springfield.

For a long time I have searched and searched for where the Army Air Force College Detachment was in Springfield Missouri that Robert went to. Dad talked about how they bunked in the Gymnasium and I am guessing the large building at the top right hand corner of the last picture is it. I finally met someone on my search that knew about the cadet program at the Southwest Missouri State Teachers College and I finally noticed on the Blue card that is on Robert's Military web page it says, S.W. Missouri State Teachers College. I am very glad to finally be able to see where dad went to the Army Air Force College Detachment 2600th AAF Base Unit College Training Aircrew. It has been a long search for this one.
