Norris Stanley
Norris Stanley married Ella Sabina Johnson on July 21, 1909. A mantle clock, which was a wedding present
from his parents, Foster and Georgia,
is in the possession of James M. Stanley, Jr. Norris and Ella's only child was James Miller Stanley. Norris was a veteran of
the Spanish American War. Norris was a
stone cutter by trade.

The men (and women)
of the Stanley Family have proudly performed their patriotic duty and served our
country in uniform from the American Revolution, until the present. Stanley kin
fought for both sides during the Civil War. Lord Thomas Stanley, the 1st
Earl of Derby, was granted his title for his deeds in the Battle of Bosworth Field
during the Wars of the Roses. Norris served his country during the Spanish
American War as portrayed in the following photographs.
