Obituary

Cleva Iona Rudd Hogue, age 79 years, a resident of Route #1, Beverly, the East Dailey Community, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday morning, August 24, 2003, at her home. She had been declining in health for the past two and one half years and death was attributed to cancer.

She was born Wednesday, May 21, 1924, at Valley Bend, West Virginia, a daughter of the late William G. Rudd and Pearl Asbury Rudd. On January 30, 1943, at Mill Creek, she was married to the Kenneth Orval Hogue, Sr., who preceded her in death, March 17, 1986. They had celebrated forty-three years of marriage.

Surviving are one daughter, Carolyn Shockey and husband Robert, Dailey, one son, Kenneth Orval Hogue, Jr., and wife Arlene, East Dailey, and four granddaughters, one great granddaughter and three great grandsons, three sisters and one brother and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home from 7 to 9 PM, Tuesday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel, Wednesday, August 27, 2003, at 11 AM. The Reverand Neil Parsons and Sister Mary Ella Morrison OP will officiate and interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, West Virginia.
