Obituary

Lucinda Audra "Jackie" Shockey, 85, of Route 2, French Creek, Alton Road, died Sunday, June 15, 2003, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon.

She was born April 21, 1918, in Randolph County, a daughter of the late Walter Ware and Russie Herron Ware.

She was united in marriage on March 31, 1934, to Harold B. Shockey, who preceded her in death on March 16, 1989.

She is survived by one son, Donald Shockey and wife, Loretta, of Route 2, French Creek; three granddaughters, Carrie Louise Shockey of French Creek, Tammy Jean Shockey of Cape Coral, Fla., and Tonnya Kay Lowther and husband, Ed, of Buckhannon; and two great-granddaughters, Brandi Lowther and Shalayna Lowther of Buckhannon.

Friends will be received at Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Lowther and the Rev. Edward Lowther officiating. Interment will follow in Lanham Cemetery at Queens. Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel Inc. is in charge of the arrangements for Lucinda A. "Jackie" Shockey.
