Obituary

RAVENSWOOD - Lora Rebecca "Becky" Shockey Circle, 67, of Ravenswood died Jan. 14, 2004, at her home.

She was born Oct. 4, 1936, in North Ravenswood, the daughter of the late James (J.B.) and Roxie Battin Shockey. She was a homemaker and a member of the Kaiser and Douglas Church of Christ, Ravenswood. Rebecca was baptized into Christ by her brother-in-law, Don Wright. She was a Christian mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Circle of Ravenswood; sons, Jeffrey W. Circle and his wife, Sonia, of Long Bottom, Ohio, Gregory K. Circle and his special friend, Denise of Athens, W. Va., Christopher J. Circle and his wife, Petra, of Siler City, N.C., and Steven T. Circle and his wife, Cindy, of Gallipolis, Ohio; five grandsons; four granddaughters; one great-grandson; sisters, Lucille Laughlin of Vienna, Leola Enoch of Syracuse, Ohio, Mary Oldham Wenrich of Carlisle, Pa., and Joan Wright and her husband, Donald, of Huntington, W. Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Roxie Shockey; a brother, Major Blaine Battin (Sonny) Shockey; and one step granddaughter, Alysha Jenkins.

Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday Jan. 17, 2004 at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Evangelists Ben Jones and Eddie Stewart officiating. Private graveside committal will be at Ravenswood Cemetery.
