Obituary

Ethel K. (Bryan) Shockey, 96, of El Reno, Okla., died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, in Park View Hospital, El Reno.

Born Oct. 13, 1907, in Greencastle, she was the daughter of the late Adam Walter and Effie V. (Cramer) Bryan.

Mrs. Shockey moved from York to El Reno in 1948. She and her husband, the late Richard L. Shockey, opened Shockey Custom Guns in El Reno. She also was a homemaker.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and was very active in the Wesley United Methodist Women and her circle.

Mrs. Shockey delivered Mobile Meals for more than 20 years. She was awarded the Golden Rule Award for her volunteer activities and was an honoree at the AAUW Recognition Banquet.

She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Kiddy of Littleton, Colo.;
