Arms service set Thursday
Lelon D. Arms, 88, passed away
Sept. 12, 2004. He was born April 3, 1916, at Whitt Springs, Ark. When he
was 16 years old, his parents sent Lelon to southeast Oklahoma, from Whitt
Springs, to find a place for the family to live.
He was a member of Faith Assembly
of God, Idabel. He was very instrumental in the building of Trinity
Holiness Church of Willits, Calif. He loved gardening and working cows. He
enjoyed the French harp and going to church. In later years, he enjoyed
talking of meeting his wife, buying his first car, and his younger days.
He loved his family very much.
He was preceded in death by his
wife, Della Arms; a son, Wilburn Arms; two brothers, James Arms and Curtis
Tabor; and his parents, Bernetta and Henry Arms.
Lelon leaves to cherish his
memory his daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and Charles Vann, Holly Creek;
three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Hubert and Fay Arms, Antlers,
Albert Arms, Woodland, Calif., and Lawrence and Lillie Mae Arms, Hopland,
Calif.; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Lillie Dean, Antlers, Nellie
Norris, Wichita Falls, Texas, and Gladis and Gene Shannon, Willits,
Calif.; five grandchildren, Michael Young and Tori Archer, Holly Creek,
Christina Eskew, Holly Creek, Marty Arms of Oregon, and Chris Arms and
Darlene Arms, both of California; his very special friends and neighbors,
Red and Mary Dale, Holly Creek; a daughter-in-law, Betty Arms, Seal Rock,
Ore.; and five great-grandchildren, David Frye, Justin Frye, Aaron Young,
Ashlyn Eskew and Nathan Eskew.
Services will be at 1 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at Faith Assembly of God, Idabel. The Rev. Chuck
Bates, the Rev. Bob Weeks and the Rev. Red Dale will officiate. Burial
will follow in Rattan Cemetery.
