Obituary

Charles E. Hughes, 81, of Cocoa, Florida died March 1, 2004, in Inverness, Florida.

He was born on April 9, 1922, in Enid, Oklahoma, son of the late Wilbur and Edith Shockey Hughes.

Charles was an Engineer and a Methodist by faith. He and his wife, Gertrude, traveled the United States in their RV, and were seasonal residents of Inverness, Florida.

Surviving is his wife, Gertrude J. Baker Hughes, Cocoa, Florida; son, Charles P. Hughes, Cocoa, Florida; stepson, Sidney Baker, LaCross, Wisconsin; daughters, Elaine Warner, Mattoon, Illinois, and Evelyn Abney, Titusville, Florida; 8 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

Graveside Services were held on Saturday, March 13, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood, WV, with Reverend Verlin Camp officiating.
