Floyd L. Shockey, 68, of Lincoln, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at Lincoln.
He was born July 11, 1935, in York County, to Raymond and Florence (Patraw)
Shockey. Floyd was a 1953 graduate of York High School and married Aletha
Jean Richards on Jan. 14, 1956, at Osceola. He was a carpenter with #1055
local, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the First United Methodist
Church in York, enjoyed woodworking, boating and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Shockey of Lincoln; sons, Alan Shockey of
Lincoln and Thomas (Sheryl) Shockey of Fordland, Mo.; three grandchildren;
one brother, Glen (Connie) Shockey of York.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 6, at the First
United Methodist Church in York with the Rev. Arthur Phillips officiating.
Burial will be at the Arborville Cemetery near Polk. Visitation will begin
at 5 p.m., Tuesday. Memorials may be made in charge of the family.
Metz Mortuary in York is in charge of arrangements.
