Obituary Clarence
"Pete" Shockey, age 82, passed away 27 October 2004 in Plano.
He was born 1 August 1922 in
Ridgeway, Texas, to Eli Edward and Mary Lucy Campbell Shockey. He married
Fannie Pearl Cameron on November 2, 1940, in McKinney, Texas.
Mr. Shockey retired as sales
manager from Automatic Products in 1987. He was in the Civil Conservation
Corps and helped build projects in Mesquite and White Rock Lake.
During WWII, he served in the
U.S. Marines and was a part of the China Marines.
He was involved in the Silver
Haired Legislature, was a member of the Collin County Republican Party and
served on the Collin County Board of Advisors at the Medical Center in
Plano.
He is survived by his wife,
Fannie Shockey of Plano, Texas; daughters, Brenda Grand-Lienard of Port
Isabel, Texas and Judy Giaudrone of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Rober
James Giaudrone III of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Edward M. Grand-Lienard of
Rockwall, Texas, Dorothy Gonzales of Port Isabel, Texas, Lana Giaudrone of
Dallas, Texas and Leslie Berends of Rowlett, Texas; eleven
great-grandchildren; brothers, W.J. Shockey and Kenneth Shockey, both of
New Braunfels, Texas and Doyle Shockey of Goldwaite, Texas; a sister,
Velma Offerman of New Braunfels, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Shockey was preceded in
death by two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at
2:00 P.M., Sunday, October 31, 2004 in the Turentine-Jackson Morrow chapel
with Danny Hawk officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeway Memorial
Park.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to
7:00 P.M. on Saturday at Turentine-Jackson Morrow Funeral Home.
