Ten Mile Church of the Brethren was built in 1832 and remains
the oldest brick COB building west of the PA mountains. The congregation
was in the Ten Mile Creek area of Washington County Pennsylvania and in
adjoining areas of Fayette Co. and Greene Co., as early as 1744. They met
in each others homes, as they had done before in eastern and central
Pennsylvania, in Maryland, and Virginia, before erecting their first church.
