We take the following from the Catoctin News of yesterday:
The protracted meeting at the U. B. church in this place will
commence on Sunday night and will be conducted by Rev. Isaac LOVELL, of
Garfield.
A Cleveland, Thurman and Douglas pole will be raised on Sunday
forenoon near Lawrence E_sterda__., the pole will be of hickory and will
stand about 75 feet in the air. Speeches will be made upon the
occasion.
John W. HOOVER, Esq., who recently sold his property in this village
to John D. DUBLE?, is arranging to build upon his land just outside the
village. Work has already commenced on the foundation of the
house.
Mr. A. A. Fox, of Foxville, is again very ill with typhoid fever.
Mrs. Mary KING, daughter of C__as W. KING, of near Middlepoint, is
lying very ill with the typhoid fever.
** The fall Lovefeast at Grossnickle's meeting house
will be held on Saturday.
