White
- William Henry White was born in 1845 in Putnam County, Georgia to Mary Angeline Wooding and Samuel White. His father disappears in his childhood and he, his mother and brothers lived with his grandfather Alford Wooding.
In 1861, he enlisted in Cobb's Legion to serve in Georgia's cavalry regiment in the War Between the States.
He married Joicey Goodwin in 1872 in DeKalb County.
