Selby
- My grandmother Stead's father was Arthur
Richard Selby, s/o Thomas Selby (Selbie) (1 Aug 1848-21 Jan 1911)
and Annie Bowen (30 Jul 1853-2 Jul 1941) was born 6 Sep 1881 in
New Haven County, Connecticut. He married my great-grandmother
Harriet Belle Wallace on 3 Oct 1911 in First Methodist Church,
Meriden, Connecticut, and lived in in Ansonia, New Haven,
Connecticut. The two divorced when their only daughter Evelyn
Emogene (11 Jan 1915-14 Sept 2003) was still very young (before 1922). Arthur remarried sometime after 1935 in Ansonia, New Haven, Connecticut
to a woman whose first name was Edith. He died 17 Jul 1949 in
Ansonia. and is buried there in Pine Grove Cemetery.
