Article of Agreement made and entered into this 26 th day of December A. D. 1888

Between Philip Doverspike and Louisa Doverspike his wife of Red Bank Township and John W. Doverspike of the same place of of second part.

Witnesseth as follows to wit:

The said parties of the first part, doth for in consideration of the sum of five dollars lawful money of the united states to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the further sum of one thousnd dollars to be paid to the said Philip Doverspike by the said John W. Doverspike party of the second part or so much thereof as the said party of the second part can pay during the lifetime of the said Philip Doverspike one of the parties of the first part, any balance or the entire sum as part of said sum of one thousand dollars remaining unfraid at the time of the death of the said Philip Doverspike party of the first part thee said John W. Doverspike party of the second part binds himself his heir executor and administrators to pay as caused to be paid to the estate of the said Philip Doverspike in annual installments of one hundred dollars.

Commencing one one year from the demise of the said Philip Doverspike as well as the further covenant and agreement to be done and performed herein after mentioned and expressed by the said party of the second part, the said parties of the first part Do sell and set over the said party of the second part, from the date hereof.

All that certain tract or piece of land situated and being in Red Bank Township Armstrong County Pennsylvania, adjoining Lands on north by Geo Kunselmans heirs Peter Hoch and John, John Shick on the east by John Shick, and Christian Miller, and on the south by Freemont Minich and Geo Shaffer on the west and south in part by Samuel Copenhaver and on the west by public road from New Salem to Eddyville and Lot now occupied by said parties of the first part and owned by Louisa Doverspike.

Containing one hundred three acres and seventy eight percels more or less, the same being described in four different deeds as follows.

From Samuel Copenhaver and wife dated Dec 20 1875 for forty eighty acres more or less, recorded in the Office for Recording deed in Armstrong County Deed Book Vol. 49 page 16 on April 3 1876.

Deed from Peter Behm and wife dated January 11 1878 for fourteen acres and seven perceles strick measuage, recorded in Deed Book Vol. 49 page 320 on February 12 1878.

Deed from Samuel Shick and wife dated 28th of February 1878 for three acres and fifty eighty percels more or less, recorded in Deed Book Vol. 56 page 312 on Dec 6 1881.

Deed from Peter Hoch and wife dated Oct 10 1879 for six and thirties percels more or less, recorded in Deed Book Vol. 56 page 310 Dec 10 1881.

The said party of the second part futher binds himself his heir excutors, administrater and asigns and give and declare to the said parties of the first part for and during their natural lifetime the one third of all income and production of the said described farm in tract of land annaually as also to take care of them the said parties of the first part during their life time in a Christian like manner.

Provided that if the said Louisa Doverspike shall survive the death of Philip Doverspike parties of the first part. then in that case the said party of the second shall give and declare in like manner only the one forth of the income and products of said farm for and during her lifetime with hay and pasture and fifty one cows only if she shall so long remain his widow.

The said parties of the first part bind themselves their heirs excutors and administrators to make a good and sufficient deed clear all incumbances for the said premise aforesaid except the incumbances reserved in this aggreement and reserved in said deed within six months from date hereof said deed to be together with, this article of agreement with said person and not to be delivered to the said party of the second part until after the death of the said first parties.

In Witness Whereof the said parties have set their hand, and seal biding these heirs excuters admininistrators and assigns the same day and year afore written.
