This Indenture Made in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourty eight.

Between Christian Shick Jr. of Red Bank Township Armstrong County Pennsylvania and Christana his wife of the one part and John Cuncelman of the Township and County and State aforesaid.

That Christian Shick and wife Christana for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars lawful money of the United States to them in hand paid by John Cuncelman at or before the sealing or delivery hereof the receipts whereof is hereby acknowledged.

Hath granted, bargained, sold aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents Do grant, bargain, sell alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said John Cuncelman.

All that certain of land situated in the Township of Red Bank County of Armstrong and State of Pennsylvania.

Bounded and described as follows wit:

Beginning at a Oak south eighty nine and a half degrees east fourty five perceles to a post. Thence south eighty one and a half degrees east sixty seven percels to a Oak. Thence south twenty and a half degrees east twenty nine percels to a Oak.

All by lands of Yost Smith. Thence south eighty nine and a half degrees east sixteen percels to a post. Thence south one half degree west one hundred and eleven and three fourths percels to a Dogwood by land of said John Cuncelman. Thence west seventy percels to a post. Thence north one half degree east fourty seven percels to a post by lands of James Kerr west sixty three percels to a post. Thence north fourty seven percels to the place of the beginning by lands of Yost Smith.

Containing seventy five acers and six percent for Roads being part of a large tract of land which was surveyed in persuence of a warrant No. 2897 and patented by the State of Pennsylvania to Wm Wilkins on the 6 day of September A. D. 1802 whereby deed dated the 21 day of September A. D. 1819.

Conveyed by Thomas Hamilton and this said Hamilton by his last will registered in the Registers Office of Armstrong County aforsaid desired all to the residue his estate incuding the above described peace or tract of land unto Thomas McConnell since died and who my his last will and testament dated desired the same unto Isaac ---- and the same by deed dated to George Weinburg and the same by deed dated the 16 of October A. D. 1841 to Jacob Meyer and by deed dated of a part to Balson Meyer the 6 day of June 1843 and recorded in Kittanning Armstrong County deed Book Vol. 13 Page 321-322 and by deed dated 15 1843 and deed dated 15 June 1845 to David Frantz and the same to Christian Shick Jr. the 17 of June 1843.

Together with all sigulars the building, improvements, woods ways, water courses, rights, liberties, priviledges, hereditaments and appurtenances, whatsoever thereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining and revisions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof, and also all estate rights title, interest property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said Christian Shick and Christana his wife, in law, equity or otherwise however, of, in and to the same and every part thereof,

To Have And To Hold said described piece or percel of seventy five acers and six percent for Roads and soforth the hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned, and intented so to be, with the appurtenance, unto said John Cuncelman, to his heirs and assigns Forever.

And the said Christian Shick Jr, and his wife Christana do convenant, promise agree to and with the said John Cuncelman his heirs and assigns, by these presents, that they, the said Christian Shick Jr. and Christana his wife their heirs the said described piece of seventy five acers of land hereby granted with appurtenances, unto John Cuncelman to his heirs and assigns, against them, the said Christian Shick Jr. and Christana his wife, and their heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming, or to claim the same or any part thereof.

Shall And Will Warrant And Forever Defend By These Presents

In Witness Whereof. The said Christian Shick Jr. and Christana his wife have herewith set their hands and seals. Dated the day and year first above written.

Received the day and date of the above Indenture of and from above named John Cuncelman the sum of three hundred dollars lawfully money of the United States being consideration money above mentioned in full.

Armstrong County SS. before me a Justice of the Peace in and said County personaly came the above named Christian Shick Jr. and Christana his wife and acknowledge the above Indenture to be their act and deed, and desire the same might be recorded as such.

She the said Christana being of full age, and by me examined, seperate and apart from her said husband, and the content of said Deed being first made know to her declared that she signed, sealed and delivered the same without cortion or compulsion of her husband.
