OLD-FASHIONED SODA
(from Vickie)
3 oz. flavored syrup
10 oz. seltzer water
Ice
|
Mix 3 oz. of syrup to 10 oz. of seltzer water,
stir, and you're done. Add ice if desired.
A note from Vickie: "Original fountain sodas, or phosphates, were a mixture of carbonated water and flavored syrups. The old-fashioned flavor syrups (other than Hershey's Chocolate and Strawberry) are hard to find, but you can substitute the type of syrup used for ice cream topping or for mixing into coffee drinks, if you wish."
