OBITUARIES

Landmark Baptist Church Paper, Jan. 27, 1904:

Wright, Isaiah C. - Born February 3, 1837. Professed religion and joined the Baptist Church in 1866. Was ordained deacon in 1885. Was married to L.E. Downs, October 20, 1857. Died December 6, 1903.

A good man has been called away - he will be long missed, especially in the curch. He was always in his place there, always ready to do his part. He dearly loved to tell others what the Lord had done for him and beseech them to make his God their's also. He lived his religion every day showing in his life that it was a reality with him. He suffered many months but was always patient and cheerful. Death had no terror for him. He had long been ready for the call, "Come up higher." His last words were that "All is well" with him. His only regret was in leaving the dear wife alone. She who had been with him so long, he dreaded the loneliness for her, but she knows the parting is but for a season, and joy cometh in the morning.

~ A Loving Friend.
