The father established a brickyard here and the deceased worked with
his father up to the liter's death and has followed hue of work more or
less all his life, although of late years he did considerable
bricklaying. They were about the first brick makers in Bountiful, and
many of the old buildings that still remain in the south end of the
county contain brick made by them.

He married Bessie Lynham, several children being born to them, but his
wife and all the children but one daughter who lives in Ogden, passed
away. Later he remarried Sarah Eckwright, five children being born to
them, three of whom-two sons and a daughter-together with his wife,
surviving him.
