He married Harriet BOSCO. (Harriet BOSCO is #222.) Harriet was born in Salford, Lancashire 1840. Harriet was the daughter of Richard BOSCO and Elizabeth ??. At 20 years of age Harriet became the mother of Joseph SOUTH 1860. At 22 years of age Harriet became the mother of Richard SOUTH 1862. At 25 years of age Harriet became the mother of Annie SOUTH 1865. At 30 years of age Harriet became the mother of Elizabeth SOUTH 1870. At 32 years of age Harriet became the mother of Emma SOUTH 1872. At 34 years of age Harriet became the mother of Harriet BOSCO in Salford, Lancashire, Friday 12th February1875.⁽⁹⁴⁾

Historical events during the life of Thomas SOUTH: British navy bombards Dinghai and occupy it on July 5, 1840; 1st installment of Charles Dickens' on December 1, 1860; The world's first underground railway opens beneath the streets of London on January 10, 1863; Dr James Barrie, senior physician, dies and is found to be a woman after masquerading as a man for 45 years on July 25, 1865; Trade unions are granted legal status in Britain on June 29, 1871; Secret ballots are deemed legal at elections on August 18, 1872; Captain Matthew Webb is first man to swim English Channel on August 25, 1875.

Thomas SOUTH and Harriet BOSCO had the following children:

9 iv. Elizabeth SOUTH (#226) was born 1870.

10 v. Emma SOUTH (#227) was born 1872.

11 vi. Harriet SOUTH (#98) was born in Salford, Lancashire Friday 12th February1875.⁽⁹⁶⁾ Harriet died Tuesday 21st March 1950 in Prestwich, Manchester, England, at 75 years of age.⁽⁹⁷⁾ Her body was interred Friday 24th March 1950 in Prestwich, Manchester, England, St. Margaret's Church. She married William Henry HINCHLIFFE in Salford, Lancashire, Thursday 2nd June 1898. (William Henry HINCHLIFFE is #91.) Bill was born in Salford, Lancashire 1873. Bill was the son of Samuel HINCHLIFFE and Sarah Ann WHITEHEAD. Bill died Monday 1st December 1958 in Rawtenstall, Lancashire, at 85 years of age. His body was interred Friday 5th December 1958 in Prestwich, Manchester, England, St. Margaret's Church.

Bill also 1895c in Salford Lancashire. At 25 years of age Bill became the father of Mary Hannah HINCHLIFFE in Salford, Lancashire, Saturday 25th March 1899. At 28 years of age Bill became the father of William HINCHLIFFE Sunday 6th October 1901. At 30 years of age Bill became the father of Lily HINCHLIFFE in Salford, Lancashire, Friday 6th November 1903. Bill, Lily HINCHLIFFE's parent, resided with her 6 Willingdon Drive, in Prestwich, Manchester, England 1938. Bill, Lily HINCHLIFFE's parent, resided with her 6 Willingdon Drive, in Prestwich, Manchester, England 1947.
