Rebecca Burkart, of Irish descent, was sister to Philip Burkart. Her first husband was Honnickel Strausser who lived in Chapman Township in what was then Union and is now Snyder Co. He died ca 1814. Rebecca remarried to Philip Lichty, by whom she had one daughter, the latter marrying Andrew Hauser and moving to Clearfield Co., PA.
