The Journey,My Ancestral Photos

Ancestral Photos

CharlotteMy journey into genealogy started when my sister-in-law gave me a family tree book. That started me on a search that has covered roughly 20 years. I've talked to family. I've searched online and "met" relatives online and gathered information from them too.

This site is mainly photos of ancestors that I've scanned. My uncle (Norman Miller) died and when we cleaned out his house we found boxes upon boxes of photos. I've scanned a lot of them but I still have tons that I haven't yet scanned.

I have my GEDCOM up on RootWeb. You'll find the link to that in the sidebar. If you find a relative here feel free to right click and save the photo to your computer. Please do not link directly to the images on this site.

There are a lot of photos that I don't know who the people are. If you happen to recognize someone please use the "Email" link in the sidebar and let me know who they are so I can put their name below the photo. Thanks!

Click the links in the sidebar to go to the photo pages. Enjoy your browsing!

I recently came across a diary from 1874 that belonged to my Great Uncle. His name was Daniel Sampson Lake. He was 20 years old when he wrote in this diary. He was lost at sea in 1880 at the age of 25. Click on the link in the sidebar, under "Site Menu", to go to the blog that I am transcribing each entry to. Eventually I will have the entire diary on that blog.
