I am searching for Rebecca (Becky) Bowen, who was a relative of Benjamin Bowen, formerly of Mississippi.

Does anyone know this family?

Subject: Seeking Hester or Esther Bowen daughter of Richard Bowen the Junior, (1632-1678) of Rehoboth Mass. Esther married Samuel Millard .

Hi, I seek the proper Hester/Esther Bowen, without any luck. The Hester I long for is the daughter of Richard Bowen of Rehoboth, but she is securely married to Samuel Millard, as named in Richard Bowen's will calling her Esther Millard, and I can't undo her.

I have become totally acquainted with Charles Shepherd's Bowen Family to the Fifth Generation, since Obadiah Bowen's children migrated to Cohansey, NJ, as Seventh Day Baptists, following Hannah Bowen Brooks' husband Timothy, who was under the influence of John Davis' religious teachings.

Isaac Ayars, first son of Robert Ayars had two daughters who married into the Brooks and Davis lines, so he can be found as best friend to Samuel Bowen, Obadiah's son. We think, too, that with the Land Ranking System in Rehoboth/Swansea, that Samuel had better reason to remove to NJ, for otherwise he would be landless all his life. His father Obadiah, was second ranked, and his brother Obadiah Jr, was third ranked.

The only other Esther Bowen I can find is the daughter of Griffith Bowen. Unfortunately, she dies as a teenager, so unless that data is incorrect, she is not a candidate to marry our Robert Ayars. Our Esther Bowen lives to a ripe old age with Robert, in Cohansey, NJ. The removed Bowens to Bowentown and Cohansey and Shiloh, NJ are all from Rehoboth, and are all practicing Seventh Day Baptists.

I just cannot find this woman and I've exhausted every avenue I can find. I contribute heavily to the Ayars site and what work is there for Bowen is my own. So perhaps you might have something for me.

Thanks

Barbarann (thebestdigger@aol.com)

Hello,

I am looking for any information regarding my Great Grandfather, Anthony Bowen who married Laura Sabina Loudermilk, Grn Briar CO. West Virginia in1875.

He was born August 10th 1848. He and Laura moved to Wa. State and homesteaded there in 1889

I am trying to find out who his father was and trace our family. I have just started this project and would appreciate any help you could proffer.

Thank you,
Kevin Bowen

Mr. Bowen

I've been trying my best to research my family "Bowen" on the net and even with some of my family, but I don't have much to go on. My grandmother "Lorene Owens" who is married to "Theodore Bowen" knew all about the roots of the Bowens with her husband, but unfortunately she died recently. I've tried to talk about past roots with my grandpa "Theodore Bowen" but his age has caused his memory to be unhelpful to go on. This is what I know:

The father of my grandpa "Theodore Bowen" ... is Charles Lindbergh Bowen who died at 75, born in Boston and was the son of Helen "?" and Guy Benjamin Bowen.

Theodore Bowen has lots of brothers and sisters and the names I know are his brother charles and sister maude. All other names I have no clue. My grandpa is also the only alive in my family of the Bowens that I know.

He lives in North Carolina and it seems his parents and siblings have for pretty much all their life or for the greater part of it. If you could help me out in any way or know anything about the Bowens for North Carolina I would so love it!

If you have any information please help!!

Subject: Bowen_family_web_inquiry-Clovis and Mary Bowen

I am trying to find out some information on my family's genealogy. I have some names and only vague ideas of dates. My great great great grandmother was a Mary A. She married a Jessie Beals. she was probably born in the 1830's. Anything you have would be interesting.

Thank you for your time-Erika Caro
