My Most Wanted Bowen : Henry H. Bowen who was married to Mary Ann Druso

Hello Ben - nice to meet you too. I found this page by accessing USGenweb and punching in the Bowen name. Yes, that would be my great grandmother - Eliza Anna Bowen. I was not sure of the year or the state she was born in. I just recently found out who my great grandfather and great grandmother were (Henry Harrison & Eliza Anna Bowen) and just recently received my great grandfathers military and pension records from the archives in Washington D.C. My great grandfather was a Union soldier with the 39th Ill. volunteers and was wounded May 16, 1864 at Drury's Bluff, Va. (we just recently visited the sight) he was captured and taken prisoner and held in Andersonville prison for 7 months. From the pension papers we found out who my great grandmother was. Also his death certificate stated his father's name was Henry H. Bowen and his mother's name was Mary Ann Druso.
I also am interested in receiving any and all of your information on Eliza Bowen's mother and father.
How was she descended from Elizabeth Fabor and Green Bowen? Also in your information you say Green was the son of Joshua Bowen and Margaret Cobb. I like I say have just recently found out who Eliza Anna Green is and have no more information than you have but would love to share what I do have and what my Mother, who is 77 years old , may remember but until we received the infomation from the archives she did not even know who her great grandfather and great grandmother were.

I am going to start on my Mother's side of the family tree. I just recently finished my father's side, taking six years to do so to find out my great grandfather changed my surname from Abney to Abner. My Mother and the rest of my small family of Bowen's would greatly appreciate any help and information you can give on our family.

Dear L Taylor, BINGO-GRREEEAATTT- You have found my Great-Great Great Great-Great Grandfather"s Mothers. I and my family are more than delighted. Wondering now if "we" are related? As my Great-grandfather (Henry Harrison Bowen b. Feb 14, 1843 d. Dec. 26, 1921, son of the "Henry Harrison" you found, had a sister named "Sabrina", who married a Lee Taylor or was a sister-in-law to Lee, my mother is not sure as she just turned 78 on the 9th and is very ill with Lupus but remembers her Great-Aunt Sabrina smoking a corn cobb pipe and Lee Taylor being there also she had written this info down years ago as heard from her Mother. ALSO, you have explained to our family why my mother"s Dad, James Franklin Bowen was born in Paola, Miami Co, Kansas and my Family"s migration route. I thank you again ever so much for this very important info and would love to hear anything else you might run across. Ever so Greatfull, Ron P.S. My E-Mail is RonRay222@Aol.Com
