Although Paul and Tara
have not been hired by the circus, they impress the
cabin crowd with an amazing show of skill and
daring.

Ted and Thomas look at
the map and sighting tool inside the Suntop
Lookout.

Thomas created this
interesting rock sculpture on a sandbar of the White
River near our cabin.

Ted, Paul, Tara, Debra,
Thomas and Bob spent the afternoon visiting the
Suntop Lookout near Mt. Rainier. Here Ted points in
the direction of the cabin.
|
|
Ted checks out what the
folks are eating at the picnic table while Paul
verifies that they are indeed a mile high.
|
|
Although Ted assured the
rest of the group that the trail from the Suntop
Lookout was only three miles long, it was difficult
to believe. Even a local chipmonk tries to warn us,
but we failed to listen.
|
|
The plan was for Ted to
meet the rest of the group at the Buck Creek airport.
After walking over two miles, Debra and Bob return to
the trail head to discover that it is 8 miles to the
airstrip. This resulted in much confusion as Ted
wondered why everyone didn't show up after an hour.
It took us almost 5 hours to complete the
hike.

After everyone had left
for the weekend, who should show up at the cabin?
Matt D'Allesandro and his new wife!

In mid-September, we were
visited by William Tell's son, Rick, who was still
waiting for his father to shoot the apple from his
head.

Nickki and family prepare
to move to Arizona. Kaylie waves goodbye as she

Nickki confirms that
Kaylie's hair is attached to her head.

One last family photo
before they start their trip to Arizona.

Although Kaylie may fade
behind a reflection, our memories of Nickki, Kaylie
and Austin will remain forever fresh.
