Bob's June 2000 Photographs
June 2000 Photographs
Father's Day, Microbrew Fest, and Angel visits with Alissa and Brittney, Kaylie finds lawn beast, Tina and Andy going away...
Not having had much experience at beer tasting, Anne wondered if bugs somehow changed the tasting experience.
It was not clear who had too many samples.
Lifting the tasting glass is hard work. We all needed to take a break for a bite to eat. We had two pounds of greasy fries and a juicy hamburger.
We were all jealous of the smaller kids. They got to ride on a train and we had to move aside as it made its way through the crowds.
Bob showed great restraint. Both Paul and Valorie guzzled taste after taste after taste. Do you think Bob had any? Not likely!
The sponsors of the beerfest were ready for any emergency. Here is their emergency vehicle, ready to roar away for more beer at a moments notice.
Bob holds Paul's second taste as they pause for a picture. Bob held up two fingers indicating that Paul had two tastes at the same time.
During a short break, Anne realizes that she can drink more beer if she has a full-sized drinking cup. What other explanation could there be?
Most of the people at the beerfest were cheerful and kind. Towards the end of the fest, however, we met one person who was a real jerk.
Bob again tries to indicate how many tastes of beer each person has in their possession. Valorie tried to shift the attention to Anne.
Having consumed a few too many, Valorie participated in a game of catching bugs in her mouth. This picture was taken just before her first successful attempt.
Although some try to suggest that Bob got a new hammock for Father's day, it is apparent that Anne was still feeling the affects of the beerfest several days later.
Everyone thought Bob was simply enjoying the hammock. In reality, the ropes and cables holding the hammock were acting as energy receptors, pulling energy waves from the atmosphere and re-energizing his body. Want proof? Check out his smile.
Nickki stares intently at Austin, wondering why Brittney already weighs as much as he does. Apparently Nickki has not been doing enough "plumping" exercises with him.
Paul, like Anne, lays in a stupor on Bob's energy machine. Even Mollie enjoys the flow of energy.
Brittney tries to teach Alissa to say the word, "thumb". Unfortunately, Alissa was chewing gum at the time, and the word came out more like "dumb". That's when Brittney grabbed Alissa's thumb to help make her point.
You would think that Angel was proud of her youngest daughter. I don't know why. Is she cute or something?
Brittney paused from her teaching lesson to allow the photographer this closeup. Does she have dimples?
From time to time Brittney pretends that she is too young to walk. Here she is taking a break after exercising on the trampoline. Valorie had to hold her from running away for another session.
The weather cooperated for a going-away party for Tina and Alex at Lake Meridian in Kent, Washington. Can you tell that Tina is 3-months pregnant?
Tina and Andy are planning to drive cross-country to the east coast. Andy planned to stop every three hours or so. Did Tina think this was a good recommendation? Did Tina demand that they would stop every hour? I think so!
According to Ted, this is Houston. Everyone else knows him as Austin.
Here Austin shows Nickki a few dance moves. He had to repeat them over and over, since adults are very slow learners.
It's a rare moment indeed when Bob can be found resting. Even more impressive is to find other pack-animals gathered around him.
Kaylie found an unusual reptile in the grass. It had a long gray body and a metal head. When frightened, the animal spits torrents of water droplets. Fortunately, it comes out only on bright, warm, sunny days and proves beneficial to folks who have lawns that need watering.
Kaylie kept running at the poor lawn beast, scaring it over and over again. It seemed to have an unlimited supply of water-spit.
Kaylie prepares to risk life and limb with another jump over the lawn beast.
After a long afternoon of jumping the lawn beast, Kaylie takes a much-needed break and a rest on the hammock.
