Some interesting cloud
patterns...
We met at the Rock Bottom
Brewery in Bellevue to celebrate Paul's 25th
Birthday.
Paul samples their
Humpback Pale Ale.
A fast-moving birthday
kiss from Tara.

Very "bunny" Anne!
Candles are lit on the
carrot cake that Anne made from scratch.
Pauls leads the group in
singing "Happy Birthday".
A beautiful sunset greets
us as we head for home.
For the Fourth of July,
we attended a barbecue at Anne's place in Seattle.
Near her house is this lovely park. Anne reads many
of the inscripted stones from patrons of the
park.
Proof that it's all in
how you look at life...
One of the statues at the
park. Bob took the opportunity to ride on a
head...
While Bob was riding
ahead, Anne was busy trying to mend the fabric of the
world...

Seattle at sunset from
our vantage point on Capitol Hill.

Fireworks over Elliot
Bay.
July 5th dawned sunny and
beautiful, as reflected in the morning dew on the
flower petals.
Anne, Thomas, Valorie and
I toured the Red Hook Brewery in Woodinville. Can you
spot Anne's car in this picture?
In the tasting room,
everyone gets to sample the four beers on tap. Can
you spot Thomas?
The brewing process is
explained. The brewery makes beer around the
clock!

room.

Mr. Red needed a nose
pick...
Nickki and her family
visit from Arizona.
On Sunday, July 14, we
gathered for a family barbecue.
As Paul commented,
"Ummm...salty meats!"
Kaylie shows off her
beautifully painted finger- and toenails.
The raspberries were just
getting ripe. Austin sets off to investigate.
Kaylie finds a ripe
raspberry.
Kaylie poses with a
flower as Porkie looks on...
Cheeky.
A silly hello from Bob
and Paul.
Austin enjoys fresh
melon.
Anne and Kaylie.
Anne and Nickki.
Austin, Nickki, Kaylie
and Anne.
Kaylie can't find the
ball she just threw.
Kaylie played tug-of-war
with Rhys.
So what DID Paul
say?
Thomas thought it was
funny.
Now we know who ate the
cookie.
A perfect example of a
rear-end collision.
Kaylie holds on during
the piggy-back race.
Kaylie would love to
touch the camera lens...
And Nickki said,
"Austin...don't you dare pull down your pants!
Austin....AUSTIN!!"
Bob's reaction to
Austin's moon-shine.
Kaylie, up close, and
personal.
Bob and Lola.
Austin stops just long
enough for a quick picture. Are his eyes different
sizes?
The group photo.
Anne and Kaylie show that
they have similar shoes.
Anne was pleased to note
that Austin was wearing a Mariner's jacket.
Thomas, Anne, Nickki and
family take a trip to the Woodland Park Zoo in
Seattle.
Um, Kaylie, what does
that little sign say?
Oops...
Everyone watches a
giraffe in the distance.
Kaylie wasn't so sure
about sitting on the railing.
The bear takes a
noon-time nap.
Kaylie and Austin finish
their trip to the zoo by playing in the hippo
pool.
We visited the Scottish
Highland Games in Enumclaw. They used folks in wheel
chairs to help position the ticket booth.
Each Clan has their own
tent. Apparently one of the Clans ignored the "no
pets" rule -- check out the little Poodle in the
middle left part of the picture!
I just had to throw in a
picture of the climbing pole. It had nothing to do
with the clan gathering, but was pretty
none-the-less.
The bands begin to
assemble for the grand march...
The bands all play as
they march for the final gathering of the day.
Valorie visited her clan
tent, the Colquhoun Clan. Apparently they need some
remedial spelling training. Even I can spell
Cowan!
