Boxing tournament, Nickki donates her long hair, celebrating Ted and Emily's birthday anniversaries, a family gathering...
In boxing, they say "No hitting below the belt", but Alissa landed a legal punch to Emily that had the same effect as one below the belt.
Nickki before hair surgery.
Nickki after hair surgery. Really, though, Nickki donated her long hair so that someone who is going through chremotherapy can have a wig made from real hair. Way to go Nickki!
After hearing about the "First Annual head-size Contest" that was held at the cabin last month, Alissa wanted to assure herself that she would beat the last-place finisher.
Having seen how male gorilla's beat their chests, Paul and Andy fling themselves together in a display to impress the other female gorillas at our family gathering.
Confused from his chest-thumping with Paul, Andy grabs Anne thinking she was a female gorilla. Fortunately we were able to make him realize his error in judgment.
They say Seattle has one of the hottest markets for sunglasses. Apparently Brittney isn't old enough yet to qualify for a set of sunglasses. Both Angel and Robert are using theirs to protect the eyes in the top of their heads.
The instructions for the group photo were very clear -- everyone was to look just to the left of the camera. Kaylie ignored the instructions and wanted to pull Brittney's hair.
Kaylie insisted that it wasn't her fault that she didn't look at the camera in this group photo. She blamed Emily, Debra and Valorie for distracting her. Even Lola had helped lead Kaylie astray.
Point at the camera. Is that a difficult assignment? No wonder Kaylie was confused.
Kaylie and Emily search feverishly for lawn grubs. Kaylie needed her glasses to help her focus on the tiny insects. Emily wasn't sure she liked the taste of a fat one that she had just popped into her mouth.
We celebrated Emily's birthday, even though her birthday was many years ago. Both of the Andy's had to hold back from helping Emily do a face plant into her cake. Austin wanted to throw a "wiffle" ball while Rick focused his laser beam in her direction.
Ted blows out the ten candles on his carrot cake. Based on the numbers of candles on the cakes, Ted has a few years to go before he is as old as Emily.
When Rick temporarily loses his mind and attacks Debra without warning, Andy comes to the rescue by using a large pink ball to knock some sense back into him.
Nickki found it rather easy to give Andy a piggy-back ride. She wondered why it wasn't called a gorilla-back ride.
During our baseball game, one of the players had to be physically removed from the batter's box to give others a chance.
After being removed from the baseball game, grandpa Rick keeps Austin and Brittney from playing their positions in the outfield.
At breakfast, Nickki was caught with a guilty grin, knowing that she had placed Kaylie's collection of lawn grubs in Andy's scrambled eggs.
Christian tries to talk to Brittney without moving his lips, making it impossible for him to smile. Unfortunately, Brittney wasn't listening. What was she looking at, anyway?
Imitating a kangaroo, Rick has a pouch in the skin on his back that is perfect for storing new rolls of film. The only difficulty is getting access to it when he is wearing a shirt.
