Snicker

IN MEMORY OF SNICKER
Last Updated 09-24-05

The following testimonial and remembrance was posted on September 24, 2005, by Anne on our family sharing site called BEBO.

I had forgotten how long we Snicker had lived with us, and it was so well done I wanted to include it here. I have added a few pictures to highlight some of Anne's descriptions. Thank you, Anne!

Snicker, October 1999 I lost Snicker this week.

It's so hard for me to comprehend losing a pet sometimes. I hate to think about it because it drives me down to a very quiet place. Everyone has been so good to me that has found out and it almost makes it worse. My friend at work brought me flowers, and when i think of how nice that guesture was, it brings me to tears.

I'm not sure if i can handle going to my parents house and knowing that i have to face the fact that she isn't there and won't be.

I can't pet her, or give her cat nip and see her rub all over the floor.

I can't turn the faucet on a trickle and have her bite at it ever again.

She had so many weird little habits, but like any one that you love, it's why you love them so much more.

Anne and Angel, January 1991 I remember how she used to get so playful when i would get in bed and she would bite at my toes when they were under the covers. When Angel lived with us and Snicker was a kitten, we were getting ready for bed and Snicker was playful, Angel was in bed and getting comfy when Snicker bit her toe and for a while after that i had to hold Snick while Angel got into bed so Snicker couldn't hurt her toes! It was something that i haven't forgotten and love to see when kitties eyes get big and playful.

Snicker also loved cat nip like no other kitty. She would be a little shy sometimes, but them her eyes would get so big and you could see her stress just melt away. She would also start to drool when she got really happy. It was so funny when you would be petting her for a while and suddenly feel a warm little drop or even worse puddle on your leg or arm. The drooling got more, how do i say.... more abundant as she grew older.

Lola Cowan holding Snicker, May 2000 Something i also will always associate with Snicker is my Grandma Cowan, the two of them always enjoyed each others company.

It was weird when Grams and Gramps would come over, Snicker always seemed to know that Grandma was there and someone was there to give her a good petting.

Anne with Shadow and SnickerSnicker liked who she liked and she wasn't shy about it. She didn't care for too many of our other pets (I'm sorry Buddy!!) But hey, no one is perfect.

Milky, Snicker loved milk.

I loved when she would be so eager to drink her milk that when she lapped it up, the milk would fling up on her forhead and she would have little droplets of milk... Silly kitty.

I gotta stop now, i don't wanna think of this anymore. I can't do it.
