Albert Benjamin Benedict Family

A. B. Benedict's paternal family line descends from Thomas BENEDICT and Mary BRIDGHAM. Thomas Benedict and his step-sister Mary Bridgham left England in 1637 to settle in Salem, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Thomas later married his step-sister, Mary, and they began new lives for themselves. Thomas and Mary were among the first settlers of Salem, Massachesetts Bay Colony.

Albert B. BENEDICT was born 4 Aug 1826 in Pleasantville, Venango, Pennsylvania to Alvin and Julia (THOMPSON) BENEDICT. He died 15 February 1914 in Shenandoah, Page, Iowa. At Pleasanville, Venango, Pennsylvania on 30 October 1846, Albert married Lois HITCHCOCK. After Lois' death, he married Julia E. WALLACE.

  1. Hannah Mahala BENEDICT, born 26 July 1847 in Pleasanville, Venango, Pennsylvania, and died 2 Sept. 1845. Hannah married John Benjamin GIBSON 11 June 1865.


  2. Thomas Levi BENEDICT, born 4 Sep 1850 in Pleasantville, Venango, Pennsylvania and died 11 Dec 1931 in Atchison, Missouri. He married Margaret Charlotte WOODBURY 7 Mar 1869.

  3. John W. BENEDICT, born 13 Jan 1853 in Pleasantville, Venango, Pennsylvania, and 1921 in Winlock, Lewis, Washington. He married Mary Elizabeth BENNETT 18 Aug 1876 in Watson, Atchison, Missouri.


  4. Francis Josiah BENEDICT, born 25 Oct 1859 in Atchison, Missouri. He married Carrie SPERRY on 18 Mar 1881.


  5. Julia Lovisa BENEDICT, born 1 Jan 1868 in Atchison, Missouri and died 3 April 1934. She married Daniel Vorhees McCRARY
