Katherine Louise Bertram

KATHERINE LOUISE BERTRAM was born on January 9, 1927, in New Berlin, Illinois. Her parents were George Beckham Bertram and Sallie Mariah Marshall. Louise's first husband was Grover Cleveland "Cleve" Jones II (01/21/1921 - 01/22/1987). They had four children. Louise and Cleve were married at home in Casey County on October 5, 1946. Louise married Herbert McBrayer in March 1988 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Keene, Kentucky. She died on September 11, 1996, and is buried in Camp Nelson Cemetery in Jessamine County, Kentucky, with Cleve Jones.

Louise and her family were very musically inclined. She played the guitar and sang. Not only could both husbands play the fiddle, Cleve could also play a host of other stringed instruments, and Herbert could play the banjo. Louise and Cleve's children could also sing and/or play some instruments.
