The following is a list of known events relating to individuals and families named Harmon or Harman in Clark County, Indiana and vicinity through the year 1850. As Clark County shrank in area considerably due to formation of other counties wholly or partially from Clark County through 1830, some of these events may have occurred in areas of Indiana now located as far away as Wayne County in East Central Indiana. Events in bold involve Harmons of the known family of William Harmon (ca 1790-1854) while those in italics involve the family of Stephen Nineveh Harmon, who is known to have been related to William, but the relationship is unknown. Information in parentheses is an attempt to analyze the information presented.
